Luca Luen will be racing this weekend at Croft Circuit as a rookie entry for Ginetta Junior Championship. The young driver has been a motorsport enthusiast since his early days, following Formula 1 with his father. Luen entered motorsports with arrive-and-drive karting and immediately thrived from the challenge and competition.
Luen has spent the last year building on his racecraft as part of Junior Rotax. A key highlight of Luen’s racing career so far has been progressing from karting into Ginetta Juniors after only doing six competitive kart races. Luen has now completed his Ginetta Junior test day, and will race with Pace Performance. Although a steep learning curve from karting, Luen’s passion is exactly what will show on track.
Luca Luen: “Making the transition to car racing has been an exciting challenge, and I’ve enjoyed developing my skills, gaining experience and continuing to improve as a driver. Throughout this year, I have combined kart racing with Ginetta testing, making significant progress in both and continuing to develop massively as a driver. I am now preparing for my first Ginetta race weekend, which will be a major milestone in my motorsport journey and an experience I will always remember. Most importantly, I aim to enjoy the experience, build confidence in the car, and establish a strong foundation for the future while achieving the best results I can.”
Sean Byrne, Team Principal: “We’re really pleased to see Luca join Ginetta Juniors this year. Luca has shown great promise in testing and we look forward to seeing him on track in a race weekend environment.”
