Pace Performance will be making the step up to the GB3 Championship for the 2027 season, marking our expansion into European single-seater racing. We have secured three Tatuus MSV GB3-025 cars ahead of the move, with plans to field a full capacity three-car line-up for our debut campaign.
The news comes on the heels of a standout sophomore season for us in the GB4 Championship, building on our single-seater debut in 2025. Josh McLean has powered to four victories so far this year, while teammate Torrin Byrne has added three podium finishes to our tally. John O’Donnell’s relentless progress with a breakthrough podium at Donington Park and being key in thrusting us toward the top of the teams’ standings.
Alongside our GB4 success, our commitment to nurturing young motorsport talent continues in the Ginetta Junior Championship, where Harry Bartle currently holds fourth place in the drivers’ standings entering their own finale at Brands Hatch.
On-track preparations for our GB3 debut will begin shortly with an extensive testing programme planned across major UK circuits.
“Joining the GB3 Championship at this stage feels like a natural step for Pace Performance. The progress we have made over recent seasons in GB4 gives us immense confidence, and there is a lot more to come as we continue to invest and develop as a team. GB3 is an exciting opportunity for Pace and we look forward to joining the grid with a three-car line up,” commented Sean Byrne, Team Principal.
The GB3 Championship is a single-seater series with circuits covered across Europe. The championship is run by MotorSport Vision’s racing arm, MSVR, and comprises 24 races across eight events. GB3 runs alongside the British GT Championship for three of its eight events in 2027, with additional trips to five popular Formula 1 circuits, including Spa-Francorchamps, Hungaroring, Barcelona-Catalunya, Silverstone and the Red Bull Ring. We’re looking forward to getting out on these iconic tracks, starting with the winter series.
