Pace Performance is pleased to confirm its first driver for the 2024 Ginetta Junior Championship season, 15-year-old Torrin Byrne.
Torrin completed the 2023 Ginetta Scholarship with Pace and showed great promise at the wheel, despite relatively little experience versus the other drivers present.
Following further tests with the team in the new year, Torrin will compete for both Rookie honours and the overall Ginetta Junior Championship titles with Pace.

Speaking about the announcement, Torrin said:
“I’m hugely excited to make my car racing debut in the Ginetta Junior Championship. I have followed the series since I started karting, and I believe it’s the perfect stepping stone to a career in motorsport. The Ginetta scholarship was a great experience. I learned so much with the team, and I’m looking forward to racing with Pace in 2024.”
Jon Pettit, Team Manager added:
“It’s exciting to be involved with Pace Performance, having run Scorpio Motorsport successfully over for 20 years in single seaters and prototypes. We’re not here just to participate. I think we’re bringing a fresh approach to the Ginetta Junior Championship that will translate into competitive results from the first round. I’m excited to have Torrin onboard as our first confirmed driver. He’s shown great promise in testing and I look forward to announcing the rest of our line-up as we prepare for the 2024 season.”
Kieren Clark, Kokoro Performance said:
“Our partnership with Pace Performance is something I’ve wanted to do with a race team for a while. Most drivers have coaches or managers at the track these days, even at the lowest levels of the motorsports ladder. But these lack a holistic approach that works at and away from the track, combining every element of the drivers’ program to maximise performance. Through Pace, we’re supporting their drivers with a comprehensive development plan that’s proven successful at the highest levels of the sport. Zak O’Sullivan’s success is a great example of that process; Torrin and his teammates will benefit from the experience of the same Kokoro team that took Zak to where he is now.”
